Nasjonal Samling

Nasjonal Samling, NS, was a Norwegian political party that was founded in 1933.
Vidkun Quisling was the leader of NS. The party opposed a democratic government, and was led by a “führer” – an almighty leader.  NS supported the Nazis and collaborated with the Germans during the occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945. The political party was banned after the liberation in 1945.
